Your Questions About Eczema

Lizzie asks…

What could be causing this and what should I do?

Please don’t comment anything weird or offensive. I just really want a real answer please don’t troll. Anyways, I’m 15, TMI but, I have a small patch of eczema on my right boob right beside my nipple and I got it around last June but I’ve been using some medicine to get rid of it. But I know this is kinda TMI but today my left nipple has been like, Itching all day long. So tonight I finally look at it and like, It’s flaky and looks sort of cracked? Could this be me getting eczema on my nipple or something else?

This is sometimes normal during a regular mestruation period. When you are ovulating or on your period, your breasts will sometimes become tender and start to crack around the very tip of the nipple, it is nothing to worry about until you have tried to get rid of it with the appropriate medications. The vagina can also become dried out and irritated, this is why alot of women get yeast infections after they have their periods! My advice would be to use aquaphor ointment. It’s very high quality stuff and isn’t that expensive! You can get it at any pharmacy or Walmart, but make sure it is CLEAR!!!

Jenny asks…

How to get rid of tiny minute pimples on nose?

They’re not whiteheads or black heads cause they’re not that big and they’re not sore. They almost look like what you get if you have heat rash or something (but they’re not red). I’ve had them for as long as I can remember but I’ve started wearing make up quite often and they don’t look very appealing when I put on powder to set my foundation so I want to now get rid of them. Can anyone help please? thanks

I used to breakout in acne due to oily skin myself. Genetic and Stress can affect hormones and can theoretically promote acne. Here are some home remedies that can help but do not mix them together.
You want to make sure you exfoliate your face every other day. Before putting any application on face for acne. Rinse with cool water then pad dry.

1) Tea Tree Oil- An essential oil is diluted and applied topically to acne lesions.
2) Lemon oil or juice – Applied lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to face or you can drink it through using it in water a few drops a day. You can leave overnight don’t expose yourself to sunlight. Will help with both acne, and scars as well.
3) Mandarin oil
4) Cedar wood – good for eczema, psoriasis
5) Lavender
6) Apple cider vinegar
7) Bamboo extract or Sarna lotion – good for rosacea, psoriasis, eczema
8) Bio Oil or BB cream for dark spots or scars
9) Mederma good for stretch marks and scars
10) Toothpaste is very effective for acne leave on face for about 20 to 30 minutes then wash. Leave on to long will leave a scar.
11) Zinc really works on acne
12) 2% Erythromycin
13) Benzoin Peroxide
14) Hydrogen Peroxide 3% – It can help to dry out acne by killing bacteria on the skin. Soak a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide and apply it either to the acne breakouts on your face. You also may opt to apply hydrogen peroxide to your entire face to help prevent future breakouts. Allow the hydrogen peroxide to do its job — wait until the bubbling stops in approximately a minute or two. Rinse your face with water. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to prevent skin from drying out.
15) Vitamin B3- also known as niacin. It promotes healthy skin, can be utilized as an acne treatment.
16) Retinoid- increase collagen production and plump fine lines, making it a good choice if you’re dealing with acne and wrinkles.
17) Sulfur- dries up pimples and keeps sebum production in check, helping to prevent future blemishes. Sulfur has a distinct smell think rotten eggs.
18) Coconut oil good for acne and scars.
19) Turmeric powder is also good for acne.
20) Neutrogena products
21) Brown Listerine also sucks the life of your acne wash after about 15 minutes.
22) Witch Hazel & Rubbing Alcohol both are good for acne
23) Aloe Vera either from the plant itself or gel apply on the infected area.
24) Neem oil- good for acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin ulcers (taken either orally or externally)

This is something I use every day and I got rid of my cystic acne and my eczema. I really recommend this. Neem oil: It is powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties, beneficial to those who suffer from various skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin ulcers, helps one treat hair related problems like dandruff and itchy scalp. Dental care products like toothpaste, mouth washes and rinses all use the neem oil’s antiseptic properties to keep teeth health and gums free of infection. Other benefits also include its use in household items like mosquito repellents, disinfectants and personal hygiene products. If you like you can purchase at amazon or in health food stores. It is the same price as some of the acne medications, either prescribe or over-the-counter.

William asks…

Can I wear eyeshadow if I have eczema?

I suffer from eczema on my eyelids. Right now it’s under control bc I’ve been putting a creme the doctor prescribed. Anyway, I was wondering if I could still apply eyeshadow when the eczema is under control or if that would irritate the skin and cause another flair up.
Also, what would be best to use as a base on my eyelid to avoid direct contact with the eyeshadow?

I am able to use estee lauder mascara and eyeliner without a problem.
Btw – all my eyeshadows are estee lauder too, if that helps with your answers at all.

I would really recommend that you do not. I had a similar situation with eczema on my eyelids as well. And as much as I love makeup, I tried to not put on any on my eyelid. It’s just worth another flare up. Hope you feel fast!

Ken asks…

What products can be used to lighten dark spots on face?

I have eczema and my face broke out a few years ago causing discoloration. I can’t wear makeup since my skin is so sensitive. I want a way to lighten these spots so the skin will blend well ( if that makes sense). Thank you in advance

admin answers:

Take out the jelly like part of the Aloe Vera plant and rub it in your face. Do this thing regularly. Aloe vera develops new skin cell which will ultimately make the spots disappear.
